First Scarecrows have arrived! 14/07/2010

The first scarecrows have arrived - they are due to take part in our new week long Scarecrow Carnival (24th July - 1st August).

The closing date for entries is 20th July - so get stuffing. We have had some 'bobby dazzler' entries so far - why not come and visit them during the carnival - special daily activities will be on as well. Fingers crossed for good weather.

We have had even more newborn baby pygmy goats too - bringing the total so far to 12. They really are about as cute as they come - well worth a visit.

We have also got a new farm cat from the R.S.P.C.A. Her name is Jodie and we are giving her lots of attention so she settles in at the farm. She is to replace Rosie who was a favourite with everyone and lived to a ripe old age at Farmer Parrs.

Bebo the barn owl - flown by Farmer Brian - has been on strike this week and we are trying to find out why. It remains a mystery at the moment.

Farmer Sam's nephew Farmer Matthew has been helping out on the farm - he is a young master of accents and has had everyone laughing!

We have also just ordered a new climbing frame for the play area - it's great - but it won't be installed until Mid August - I'll keep ewe posted on progress.

We are also having to take especial care of our animals at the moment as Mr. Fox has been spotted lurking about after dark - YIKES!

We hope ewe all have a great summer.
